2012 Lehi Round Up Rodeo Royalty
Raeshelle Larsen of West Point, Utah, was chosen from a field of nine contestants to serve as the 2012 Lehi Round Up Queen. She is the daughter of Paul and Mitzi Larsen. Raeshelle helped represent the Lehi Round Up in 2011 as the 2nd attendant and we are glad to have her with us again this year. She also won Miss Rodeo Utah Congeniality 2011. Raeshelle is a former AQHYA Wrangler All Star, South Weber Posse All Star Cowgirl, as well as a three-time Utah High School Rodeo state finals qualifier. She also carries sponsor flags at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. She is currently employed with Sky West Airlines as a flight attendant where she has just received her 5 year wings. Raeshelle is currently attending Weber State University. In the fall she will begin the program at Uniteck College for nursing. She would eventually like to become a Nurse Practitioner. In her spare time she enjoys sports, gardening, reading, and classic movies.
Talia Wilson of Lindon, Utah, will represent the 2012 Lehi Round Up as the first attendant. She is the daughter of Jeffery and Kayleen Wilson. She loves the Western and Rodeo way of life, and looks forward to sharing it with others. Talia Joined the FFA in High School and began a small registered Nubian dairy goat operation that has continued to grow. She has competed in many livestock shows and now has many different animals on her little farm. Talia graduated from Utah Valley University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Art, She is an accomplished fiddle player and singer. Talia has performed at many cowboy poetry gatherings, also with the Utah Symphony, and Utah Valley Youth Symphony. She also plays Fiddle, Mandolin, and has sung as a Harmony Vocalist with many well-known country western artists. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses, painting, hunting, gardening and scrap-booking.
Brandy Mortensen of Springville, Utah, is very happy to represent Lehi as the second attendant to the 2012 Lehi Round Up Royalty. She is the daughter of Preston and Collette Mortensen. Brandy has competed in rodeo, 4-H and horse shows for many years. She has also served in other royalties including Spanish Forks Fiesta Days as second attendant. She was the winner of the 2011 Utah county Fair adult horse show western pleasure open class. Brandy is currently a student of Brigham Young University, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. She is also taking classes and lessons to improve her sewing skills to help with the design and seamstress business that she and her sister have started, in which they have made several outfits for the 2011 Miss Rodeo Utah. Brandy is a math tutor for geometry, algebra II, pre-calculus, and college algebra. She will be applying to veterinarian school in one year and is aiming to work in a large and small veterinary clinic as a veterinarian. In her free time she enjoys playing sports, designing and sewing western competition outfits, photography and playing the piano.
